OlympusDAO would like to purchase the full amount of 81,650 veBAL (112 040 BPT) from Tribe DAO in the form of an OTC agreement for 800,000 DAI.
Considerations
As outlined by this post on Balancer’s forum, the contract holding the tokens won’t be able to relock any more veBAL. By gaining ownership of this contract, Olympus Treasury would see its governance power decrease linearly over the next 9 months, after which the initial 1 year lock will expire. Essentially, this means that the average veBAL power acquired through this proposal would be around 40k veBAL
Note that this offer is also contingent on satisfactory handover of relevant contracts.
